Narrative Structure: Freytag's Pyramid Planning Template
Freytag's Pyramid, also known as the dramatic arc or Freytag's Triangle, is a storytelling framework that provides a classic structure for narratives. It was developed by Gustav Freytag, a 19th-century German novelist and playwright, who observed a common pattern in dramatic works.
The pyramid consists of five essential elements: exposition, rising action, climax, falling action, and denouement (resolution).
This template fully explains each element, as well as gives you a timeline you can fill out for your own novel, AND dedicated pages so you can fully explore your ideas!
Notes
The Narrative Structure: Freytag's Pyramid Planning Template is completely free for you to use. However, if you'd like to show your support, there's an option to pay the small price of £5. Absolutely no pressure at all though!
